Shrubs are a vinegar-based syrups that were developed prior to the innovation of refrigeration, as the process “preserves” fruits and flavors for consumption long after the harvest. The deliciously sweet and tart shrubs make fantastic sodas and they can be added to enhance drinks of the alcoholic variety as well. Made with organic, locally-sourced and natural ingredients, each of her shrubs and bitters are carefully extracted for a minimum of two weeks. The slow and careful process brings out the flavors of all the fruit and spices, herbs and botanicals, resulting in powerful and complex additions for the creative bartender.
