It’s the kind of story that just make you proud—of ingenuity, of pride in craftsmanship, of good ole ‘Merican bootstrap pulling. In 2011, while James was unemployed and job hunting, he noticed a real hole in the market for affordable, high-quality furniture made with real wood. So he bought a $40 saw, some stain and some wood and got to making a coffee table in his garage. A month passed. And then the table sold—and other orders started pouring in. Now he employs 15 full-time members on his team, right on his home turf of northwest Arkansas. But those aren’t the only people benefiting from his ingenuity: he’s doing the whole country a solid with his classic, quality designs that put gorgeous wood and craftsmanship front and center.
