Taylor and Tanner learned the principles of their design business in a very unlikely location (at least for us back-row slackers): high school chemistry class. More specifically, they learned that you had to have a creative spark before you could have an explosion. When an art teacher gifted them some old screenprinting supplies, they had their spark. Tanner had always been doodling and drawing—and had a real knack for graphic design. Taylor had the business brain and number-crunching abilities. So they started hand-drawing and screenprinting their own t-shirt designs, representing the outdoorsy culture in their little Colorado town. The result was nothing less than a creative explosion. Years later, it still is.
