We’d like to know if this lady wants to trade lives: Laura grew up in Buenos Aires, getting an MFA at the National Fine Arts School there, before studying photography in Italy, then heading to Brooklyn to work as an artist. A worldly woman she may be, but her line of botanical prints of tropical “gardenscapes” is inspired by the exuberant backyards in the old houses of her hometown in Argentina. Though the subject matter is organic (in the old school way, not the Whole Foods way), there’s some kind of magic contained within the colorful paintings.
