To create her polished pieces in metal and stone, Allison gets her hands pretty dirty. It’s the process that makes each piece special, and as every ring, necklace and bracelet requires so much handiwork, they’re all truly labors of love. She spends her days carving wax, casting molten metal, sawing, hammering, soldering and setting to assemble each of her creations. Despite her Miami location, it’s the architecture of New York that inspires her, and her collection of sunbursts is a direct result of seeing the patterns in the buildings. She translated the pattern to metal, and it wasn’t until after the first piece was completed that she realized they so closely resembled rays.
