If you live in NYC (or Chicago or San Francisco or any fine metropolis) and are of the peddling population, you must own a helmet. And chances are, it’s pretty bulky and ugly. That’s why Danielle thought she’d paint her own helmet: to “camouflage” its total drabness. She expanded the line to fit other cyclist’s personalities and tastes—hoping to inspire the hip and fashionable to wear their dang helmets. Each one’s a blank canvas that she transforms by hand with acrylic paint and ink in realistic, surrealist designs. And that unique little work of art that whizzes by, they won’t even see the boring helmet.
