Every problem needs a solution—it’s just a matter of finding the solution to your problem that’s the challenge. Not so for Emily, a crafty Brooklyn designer who has also been know to lounge at the local seaside. She created a fantastic looking linen beach blanket for a friend that dries quickly and is a light as a feather for toting on the train. But, wait, here’s where the genius light comes on: She sewed a pocket into each corner so that the blanket can be filled with sand (yep, it is found in abundance on the beach) securing it on a windy beach. How could she not spread the love (get it?) and make them available for the beach-going masses?
