Take one look at Melinda's prints and it's hard to not notice all the details. But you wouldn't want to miss 'em anyway. Lines and patterns blend together, combining to form a tall group of cacti, clusters of vegetables or, occasionally, crystals. As a longtime fan of gouache, Melinda originally painted comics but now uses the vivid technique to create pieces inspired by local flora and fauna. She admits to breath-holding and finger-crossing during the moments before her paintbrush hits paper. After all, it takes courage to believe that your fingers will translate the brain's ideas.
