These beans that are hand-picked, sun-dried and naturally processed in small batches by a cooperative of Christian, Muslim and Jewish farmers in Uganda who have overcome a history of conflict, learning to thrive and create together. The peace-loving beans are then expertly roasted at their startup HQ in Shaw, D.C., creating a coffee that’s bold enough to satiate the coffee connoisseur (read: no cream or sugar required). And people who aren’t coffee snobs? They also find the fresh-roasted brew highly drinkable.
