Junko and Elena illustrate their quirky patterns in a fully collaborative process. Each one is hand-drawn, carefully planned so that the pattern can be repeated across large swaths of fabric. After the final tweaks and touches are in, cotton poplin, silk blends and jersey are printed with a dye sublimation process, translating the vibrant colors and detailed art onto fabric. The same attention to detail goes into cutting and sewing as well, so that every tank and dress is tailored to fit and flatter. They may look simple, but every garment features bias tape, engineered seams and colored pockets for extra pop. So what you get is playfully wearable, and built to last.
