After working a spell in San Francisco as an art director and graphic designer, Sylvia decided that she needed to flip the script, change up her scenery. So she convinced her husband to move to a rural college town in the Redwoods of Northern California—and suddenly found that she had space, enough space to buy herself a little letterpress. In no time, she found herself a vintage Vandercook and was pulling the levers on her creaky new machine. Her not-so-secret weapon: that husband is also an amazing illustrator. They spend hours collaborating on fun, bright, quirky designs—many of which look just perfect in the kitchen. We’ll drink (and eat) to that.
