When most of us flip on a light it's so we can see what's around us. But for Gregg Damanti, he flips on a light to see, well, the light. Literally. Talking of the pre-fluorescent lighting days, he says, “The beauty of these bulbs was not only the amber glow they emitted but actually seeing the metal filaments inside heat up and glow as electricity coursed through their strands.” Today, Damanti’s admiration has become his creative outlet. Resting on vintage cigar box bases, the lamps he makes are unique conversation pieces that’ll make lighting a room a work of art.
