In creating her ceramic pieces, Regina’s process is organic, and sometimes a piece develops a character all its own. Drawing from her inspirations, which range from antique objects to the beauty of the ocean, she sits down with some clay and a vision—that’s when the magic happens. After every dish, platter or lantern is thrown on the potter’s wheel, she adds the specific finishing touches, from a dipped multicolored glaze, to carved windows and nooks. Some of the clay is left matte and bare, for a rustic touch and contrast in textures. Every piece is completely handcrafted, with slight variations and unique touches, so no two will be quite identical.
