After studying fine art, Amy was a teacher and program director for a spell before the fated day. Nope, it wasn't Christmas or even her birthday. It was the day her husband rescued a table-top screenprinting press that someone was going to throw away. Having joined a shiny new site called Etsy not too long before—and having recently crafted herself a t-shirt at a local co-op—she decided the press was just about perfect. Amy decided to set up a little makeshift DIY studio—and the rest you could pretty well call history. She draws each cheeky little design, then turns it into a film negative, burns it onto a screen and hand-prints each shirt using water-based inks. Not to bad for an afternoon dumpster dive.
