Some things are just meant to be: graham crackers and marshmallows, mac and cheese. You know, the good stuff. And that's how Alyson's relationship with yarn was from the start. Her mother taught her the ways of crochet when she was a mere youngun', and a friend taught her knitting in high school – but Alyson is a perfectionist, she doesn't like to follow rules. So she designs her own patterns, and even though this sometimes means ripping up and re-knitting the same piece multiple times in order to get every detail right, it's well worth the effort. Alyson's inspirations can be easily seen in her simple, practicality-driven pieces: fall, vintage, natural fibers and "secretly eyeing stylish people at the grocery store." Like we said, she doesn't follow the rules.
