Set up in the most unlikely of spaces, Ryan and Michael build their rugged wares in the basement of an old cookie factory. Alongside the antiquated baking equipment, the brothers deconstruct full hides of leather and yards of waxed canvas to transform the raw materials into aprons, knife rolls, totes and bags. Every hole is punched, the leather dyed, the fabric sewn and any rivets hammered all by hand, so that the finished product has careful attention paid at every step. With their old fashioned processes, Michael and Ryan construct all of their goods as they would have been in times past. And by using the time-tested techniques, it’s not surprising that everything’s designed to last.
