The last line in one of Janette’s favorite poems (as a writer, she has many) reads, "A love of form is a love of endings." By day, Janette writes television scripts. But when she’s not busy with that, she’s exploring her own love of form – fabricating minimalist, yet deliberate cuffs, rings and baubles from raw metal. When she begins to design, it's about 50% drawing on paper, 50% playing with the materials to see what she can get. She’ll bend and stretch until a shape or design that delights her appears. Although at first she thought she had to commit to either writing or jewelry making, she’s found that they really aren’t so different. Like filling a blank page with freshly formed words, Janette turns unformed metal into something totally unique.
