Ashley originally set out to become a painter, working towards a degree in fine art. Her path to jewelry making was forged when she signed up for a metalsmithing course to fulfill her degree requirements. In this class she learned new techniques with new materials and wanted to learn more. So much more, in fact, that she transferred schools and majors to do so. Now she employs her well-rounded metal skills to cast, forge, enamel, fabricate and set stones in her jewelry, which range in style from rustic and vintage-inspired to prim and polished.
