Jocie Pots are a family affair. Okay, technically, Jocelyn is the only one doing the actual clay-molding and pottery-throwing but she still loves to weave little pieces of her family’s story into her work. For example, since her grandfather was a woodworker, she tries to include wood elements in some of her larger pieces. And the doilies she uses for the delicate impressions on her doily plates were actually gifts crocheted for her by her mother-in-law. Her greatest hope for her pottery involves family, too. She wants her customers to pass on their heirloom-quality plates and bowls from generation to generation. Just imagine all the breakfast cereals and midnight snacks they’ll see.
