When Devin was a kid, he would take apart electronics and reassemble them into more artful versions of themselves. Guess you could say that he never quite grew up: Now when he finds something rustic, old and beautiful, there’s a flash in his mind of how he’ll deconstruct it and turn it into something completely unique and functional. For example, he once turned a violin into a lamp/stereo, rewiring it to play music, but in an entirely different way. An old book and a vintage kitchen knife and fork? That’s a clock in Devin’s world. We’re beginning to appreciate this mad artistry.
