When building her brass creations, Lindsey draws inspiration from all over. Sometimes her travels are the primary influence, like the time she spent in the southwest, with its unique landscape and colorful artwork. Other times, it’s cultural history, supplemented by hours of research at the local library. But it’s the improvised pieces that are the most special, when leftover scraps spark a new, serendipitous concept. As her jewelry is completely handmade, Lindsey takes care with the finishing touches on every pair of earrings, necklace and bracelet. Stamped geometric shapes, stripes and hashmarks add texture, hammer marks make each piece glimmer and oxidization of the brass brings out every tiny detail.
