Mary Marie Mason was into creative reusing and crafting way before it was cool. Like we’re talkin’ early part of the century here. See, she was Cara’s charming and creative grandmother—and also her amazing knitting company’s namesake. Cara was just a newspaper writer with a major crafting and knitting addiction (it runs in the family) until 2008, when she decided to take the plunge to full-time maker. She started using her oversized knitting needles to create some unorthodox home goods because liked getting to the end product faster. When she stitched up a floor pouf (otherwise known as ottomans), she found herself an awesome niche.
