With childhood dreams of becoming a olympic gymnast, a serious back injury during at a national competition left 12 year old Michelle incapable of much movement. Always one to find strength in adversity, she points to that moment as the beginning of her passion for making jewelry. Now, she is still creating tiny, handmade sculptures which she hand-carves, cuts, and polishes.
