It was in middle school that Lauren first developed a love for tea — her mom gave her a piping hot mug of the stuff every morning, which might have been a contributing factor. In college, Lauren hosted bi-weekly tea parties. Suffice to say: the lady loves tea. So when she discovered the best tea in Japan, she knew she had to do something. The matcha tea, straight from the fields of Uji, was unlike any she'd ever had (and she'd had a lot). So she built a working relationship with the family's matcha farm and figured out a way to bring it to everyone. And we're so glad she did.
