Mohinders are traditional, woven leather shoes — and comfy too, we might add. When Michael discovered the slippers on a trip to India, he was smitten right away. So much so, that he quit his day-job as a lawyer in order to figure a way to bring the woven kicks to the masses. But instead of attempting to recreate the designs on his own, or merely drawing inspiration from them, Michael works directly with an artisans cooperative in India. And we don't call them "artisans" lightly. These are folks who have been practicing the art of shoe-making for generations — and it shows.
