Jennie studied both design and metalworking in art school, giving her a love for both art and craft—ya know, dreaming up a grand idea and being able to make it skillfully with your own two hands. When she discovered letterpress six years ago, lighting struck—she could be an artist and a craftsperson. She designs each of her quirky, earnest coffee and food-inspired creations, then prints every item, one by one, on a hulking Vandercook press (named Phyllis, for your information). She’s got a huge amount of respect for the intricacies of this mammoth, which must be perfectly calibrated to turn out the most lovely—and well-designed—cards and prints.
