If you can’t find it, make it. That’s just what Jenny did whilst on the hunt for a modern, minimalist, typographic city neighborhood map. Finding only traditional, vintage-looking styles, she instead designed what she envisioned in her head. Although Jenny stripped her artful guides down to the nitty gritty—neighborhoods only within city limits—the work that goes into mapping them alone takes 80-160 hours for a single city. Then the fun begins. The shape of the city and names of the neighborhoods drive the design in a bold narrative of large and small san serif type. Each letter is carefully placed with equal spacing around it, punctuated by a visually striking range and balance of type sizes. Minimalism is meticulous, after all. Leave it to the expert to navigate this city tour.
