Always an artist and art appreciator, Beth began collecting botanical and biological illustrations after stumbling upon the work of biologist Ernst Haeckel. She tapped as many resources she could, collecting and hoarding the fascinating works. (Getting distracted for hours on end by a scientific drawing of a bird of paradise? It’s a job hazard, though one that she welcomes.) She now creates fine art reproductions of her curious collection, using cotton-textured watercolor paper that enhances the antique quality of the illustration. Looking at them is like taking a momentary trip to the Natural History Museum and the National Galley at the same time.
