Living in Philadelphia, Monica and Matt have always had a natural appreciation for the woodwork of the city's old homes. And after coming across a treasure trove of old balustrades (ahem, stair spindle) destined for the landfill, the two decided to take a shot at giving new life to the aged wood, and they began crafting one-of-a-kind candlesticks. They're made one at a time, resulting in a design that looks just as good on its own as it does paired with others. They don't paint any of them either, preferring that candlesticks keep their original, chipped beauty intact — just add a candle.
