Always a draw-er of some sort, it wasn't until Renee found herself in art school that she began focusing on the art of fibers. An avid gardener, Renee finds this skill especially helpful when rummaging around amongst the lettuces and rutabaga — investigating her gardens through the movement of lines. Each of her charming botanical prints starts out as a simple drawing, with Renee adding in the textures and colors digitally. Not having a traditional studio makes it easier for Renee to "paint" in between chasing around her two kids and, as a bonus, there's no paint clean-up required.
