Sure Rhys' plans for school included a degree in drawing and painting, but after a few semesters (and a whole lotta metal), she ended up with one in metalsmithing and jewelry-making instead. And after perusing the sorts of pieces that Rhys is churning out on the regular? Why, we're pretty confident that she made the right call. Inside her studio (which is in a bicycle repair shop) Rhys makes pieces for people who want to see the craftsmanship in the the jewelry they wear — and this means she embraces the metal's natural beauty, dings and patina included. We're more than happy with the results.
