Jill found herself at a divisive moment: in a basement with a one-ton hunk of iron, a Macbook and a vision. See, she had always seen herself as a business owner. In fact, she’d considered starting a gymnastics studio and a dog kennel in the recent past (“Imagine!”). But she kept coming back to her passion of paper and design. After some solid years of growing a wedding line that has been sold internationally, she re-launched Ruff House Art with her fiancé and business partner, Brian Shephard. Together, they’re designing an arsenal of prints on carefully selected paper stock as well as specially formulated seeded paper. As in, plant a letterpress card and watch it grow. Worked for Jill.
