Carlton was selling hand-drawn portraits of homes when he just sort of stumbled into making wood signs. (As one does.) One day he found himself messing around with stenciling letters onto painted wood and, well, he liked it. He starts on the computer, playing around with fonts, colors and sizes before creating a stencil and selecting a piece of wood. He likes that in a world where practically everything is factory-produced, there's still plenty of room for him to make something that's of a higher quality and completely by hand.
