The one tool that you can’t buy in a supply store, that you can’t copy or learn in an art class: imagination. And when it comes to illustrations with Sloe Gin Fizz’s kind of humor and fantastical whimsy, it’s the most important tool you can harness. “That’s what I love about creativity: No one’s can be quite like anyone else’s.” Nicole’s imagination was put into overdrive when she moved from New York to Michigan and, while looking for a job, decided to sell some of her illustrations. (She’d studied illustration in school but never got up the nerve to take a chance on it.) Well, that chance was taken in her new home state--on the indie craft show circuit, she was exposed to a whole world of indie makers and artists... and the rest, as they say, is imaginative history.
