There’s no doubt that memories of a place are connected to smells: Brandon and Heather first set out to capture the elegant charm of living in the south with candles. So Savannah might smell like moss and pralines, while Georgia is a creamy peach nectar with tart citrus. After lots of cooking and sniffing, they managed to create a natural soy wax candle with a full scent and a long burn time. They hand-pour each one in their own kitchen, with their two kids helping to get the smell-goodness just right. Guess you could say they were bit with the olfactory travel bug, because they didn’t stop there—Mediterranean fig and Aspen spruce started drifting into their repertoire. These smells are certainly taking them places.
