Kate's creative process is one that varies based on her mood. On more patient days, she might study up before getting to work. But on the more impulsive ones, she'll go straight for the paint without any hesitation. Each painting ends up as a beautiful blend of colors, with shadows and shapes that come to life. Regardless of whether or not she starts out mostly patient, the hardest part for Kate has, and always will be, waiting for those pesky watercolors to dry in between layers. Her pieces are so realistic, they've even been mistaken once or twice as a collage or shadowbox.
