Andy’s lifelong woodworking hobby began to take shape over 25 years ago, when he built his first lathe from a mishmash of salvaged parts. Spending time as an apprentice patternmaker in England, building furniture in the States and renovating homes on both sides of the Atlantic, he’s had plenty of practice. In 2012, he began creating garden tools and housewares from bits of salvaged wood, these early pieces were made available for sale through his wife’s garden design business. As the product line grew in variety and popularity, the workshop also expanded although the same lathe is used today albeit with a few extra parts.
