Garrett believes music should be seen AND heard. Fashioned from vintage suitcases, his wireless Bluetooth boomboxes do just that. It’s an oxymoron of sorts—modern technology meets bygone design. While each custom-built stereo is equipped with the latest doodads and user-friendly features for purity of sound, it’s also a living time capsule. When Garrett scores a suitable vintage suitcase for his craft, the look, feel and wear of the piece reveals the state of the country in the 1940s and ‘50s. And what’s inside can be a surprising, too. The most intriguing item he’s discovered was a sticker from the Cunard Steamship company famously known for building the Titanic. We think Jack and Rose would totally be onboard with the way Garrett is retuning history.
