Before moving to ink and screen, all of Daphne and Ed’s designs begin as a sketch with pen and paper. The inspiration for their whimsically printed totes, kitchen linens and baby bodysuits comes from their mountain town surroundings, their wild and creative bunch of children and the farmers in their community. Once the designs are just right, they burn them into screens for printing out in the sunshine. Yes, that’s right, sunlight—this part of the process, as are all production decisions, are guided by responsible, eco-conscious principles. Only natural textiles are selected to print on; only solvent free, non-toxic inks are used for printing.
