When given the task to add a pinch of Portland into a friend’s destination wedding, Christine rose to the occasion (a daunting one, at that) by fashioning cute little place card holders from a fallen birch tree by her house. Hundreds of place card holders later, Christine expanded her collection to home décor items featuring salvaged or reclaimed wood. Thanks to her extraordinary skill combined with the seemingly male-dominated world of woodworking, Christine is often asked if her boyfriend made the upcycled pieces. Which makes these pieces (and the reaction to them) all the sweeter.
