Sometimes we just can't get enough of the things we love, a truth that this maker found out shortly after graduating from art school. Emily immediately took a job in textile design, and even though she loved her day job, she missed the daily process of creation that went hand in hand with her studies at MassArt. Knowing that she needed a new creative outlet, Emily began crafting wearable goods. Each item in her line – whether it's a tote bag or scarf – is made completely by hand using organic, recycled and locally produced raw materials. She is drawn to simple base designs that can then be elevated through fabric and color choice, creating standout items for everyday use. Her first piece for Thread & Paper (a bag) remains her favorite, as it convinced her that it's possible to continue doing what you love in a post-school world.
