Dori does her best thinking among majestic 100- to 300-year-old maple trees. Good thing she lives in Vermont, with multi-generational maple farms all around her, because she’s definitely got some wheels turning. She decided she wanted to showcase the farmers’ culture in a modern line of maple products and, in the meantime, support these small-scale sugarmaking families. Sleek design, forward-thinking sustainability practices and incredible gourmet products were all part of the equation. The result was Tonewood, a line of high-quality maple goods that come in unique liquid and solid forms, like a maple flakes and maple cream, that’ll encourage some lofty culinary experimentation.
