Tree-to-tub_process

After backpacking around the world and witnessing a lack of awareness about the toxicity of chemical-laden soaps, global nomad Michael thought it was high time they cleaned up their act. So an idea bubbled up: make organic, ultra-gentle recipes from the aptly named soapberry, much like the kind Michael’s grandma used to bathe him when he was young. Partnering with local farming communities and eco reserves in Taiwan, Michael and co-founder Brian harvest soapberries every fall. The process is completely sustainable, eco-friendly and inspired by ancient tradition. Not a single tree is cut down nor an ounce of berry wasted in the process. Once dried in the sun, the flesh is separated from the seeds, which are polished into meditation beads. The rest lathers up a conscientious way to clean.
