Call it animal instinct. Alicia fell in love with printmaking as an undergraduate illustration student at the Rhode Island School of Design. It was there she took a silkscreen printing class and was hooked. Fast forward to 2015 and Wolf Jaw Press was born, an independent screen printing studio that celebrates the beauty of nature with handmade limited-edition screen prints of wildlife and domesticated animals. The intricate process of pushing ink through individual stencils, screen by screen, color by color is, as Alicia describes it, messy and labor intensive, but a rewarding and humbling process that yields breathtaking results. Make that wildly beautiful results.
