West Glacier Tree Ring Original Woodblock Art Print
Like a fingerprint from mother nature. This graphic wood print was stamped by hand using the traditional wood block method from a cross-section cut of a fallen pine tree that once flourished on the west side of Glacier National Park in Montana. Counting the rings on a slice of tree trunk from the center pith to the outer bark will reveal the tree’s age. From the looks of it, this tree was nearly a century old. Which is pretty impressive. You can see where branches were located when the tree was younger by looking for subtle v-shaped notches in the rings. Uneven rings may indicate when a tree had to bend in one direction to the the most sun. True to nature, each print may vary ever-so-slightly.
